Shining A Light on the Dark Continent

Dream or Divine Intervention?

“I had a very interesting dream on my first night in country.  A Middle-Eastern photographer was showing me pictures of my daughters’ weddings. He was offended by other “surprise” presentations that he did not know about and turned to leave.  An angel glowing above my head appeared complete with angelic music after I asked God for an angel. The angel told me to go to the photographer, Sayid, and apologize for not warning him about the other presentations.

MM900046495On my way to see Sayid, I bumped into one of his workers, who backed away from me with a gasp.  “What’s wrong? Don’t be afraid,” I said, thinking the angel glow was scaring him.

“I’m not afraid. She wanted different photos,” he replied.

I turned around and the photos of my daughters were gone and replaced with something else. The angel glow and music were still with me. I started to walk away and then woke up before my alarm went off.

I hardly ever remember my dreams and I thought I should write this one down. I do not know what it means, but I’m thankful God answered my request for the presence of angels.  Even though God may supply angels and evidence of angels, people may not see God’s evidences by choice or by distraction.  Maybe it is my job to show God’s angels to the people of East Africa?”

Dave wrote this in his journal his first night in Djibouti in November 2010. Was it just a dream or a precursor to what was to come? I prayed he would walk with angels throughout his tour, as I knew it would take him to some unsavory places in the next several months.
